countRx counts the whole tray from a single photo — round tablets, capsules, gel caps, any shape or colour — and comes back in about three seconds. Every count carries a confidence indicator, so you know at a glance when a quick recount is worth it.

Point the camera at the barcode on a Canadian pack and the medication name fills itself in from Health Canada’s Drug Product Database. Every pack sold in Canada carries a DIN — a Drug Identification Number, printed right on the box — and countRx resolves it to the medication name, so Canadian coverage is complete rather than partial. Nothing to type, nothing to spell.

US packs are recognised through the FDA and EU packs through the EMA, following your phone’s region. Some regions are not in the lookup set yet — UK, Australian and Indian packs among them — so there the name may not fill in on its own. The count itself never needs a barcode: it works on any pills, from any bottle or blister, anywhere.

Every count is saved on your device with its photo and timestamp, searchable by medication. If a bottle ever seems short, or you simply want to know what a tray looked like six weeks ago, the exact photo is one search away — a number you can point to instead of a number you half remember.

The history stays on your device, and exports to CSV or PDF whenever you want a copy outside the app.
